Privacy policy

This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you visit trypaperjet.com or buy from us.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is PaperJet Ltd, 23 Market Pl, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 1BS, United Kingdom. Write to hello@trypaperjet.com about anything on this page.

What we collect and why

When you order, we collect your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and the details of what you bought. We need this to accept your order, deliver it, handle returns and refunds, and keep the accounting records the law requires. The legal basis is performance of the contract, and our legal obligations for the accounting records.

We never see or store your card number. Payment is handled by the payment providers shown at checkout.

When you sign up to our emails, we collect your email address and use it to send restock alerts and offers. The legal basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can withdraw consent at any time.

When you write to us, we keep the message and our reply so that we can follow up and so that there is a record of what we agreed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling customer service properly.

When you browse the site, our platform and our analytics and advertising tools may set cookies and collect technical data such as your IP address, device, browser, the pages you view and how you got here. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the banner.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which runs the store and the checkout. Our payment providers. The carriers that deliver your parcel. Our email provider. Our analytics and advertising providers, including Meta and Lucky Orange, and our reviews provider Judge.me, where you have accepted the corresponding cookies. Each of them processes your data only for the purpose we engaged them for.

Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or by an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Order and accounting data for as long as tax and commercial law requires, which is up to ten years depending on the country. Customer service correspondence for three years. Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Cookie data for the period stated in the cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before. Write to hello@trypaperjet.com and we answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In the United Kingdom this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means, and we do not profile you in a way that produces legal effects.

Children

The product is made for ages 8 and up, but the store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The version published here is always the one that applies.
