Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed on trypaperjet.com. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you accept them.

Who you are buying from

Paperjet is a trading name of PaperJet Ltd, 23 Market Pl, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 1BS, United Kingdom. Email hello@trypaperjet.com. In these terms we and us mean Paperjet, and you means the person placing the order.

Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. The product itself is made for ages 8 and up: it contains small parts and real propellers, so younger children should fly it with an adult nearby.

How the contract is formed

The product pages are an invitation to buy, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy. The contract comes into being when we send you the email confirming that your order has been accepted and dispatched. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or the price was shown incorrectly, we tell you and refund you in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euro, or in pounds sterling for orders delivered to the United Kingdom. In some countries the store also shows prices in your local currency: in that case you pay the amount shown at checkout, in the currency shown there. Shipping is free. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment providers; we never see or store your card details.

If a price is obviously wrong, for instance through a technical error, we are not obliged to supply at that price. We tell you before dispatch and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel.

Delivery and risk

Delivery times and costs are set out in our Shipping policy. Risk passes to you when you, or someone you name who is not the carrier, take physical possession of the goods.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your right of withdrawal and our 30-day flight guarantee are set out in the Returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

Legal guarantee

We supply goods that are as described and fit for their ordinary purpose. You have a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Using the product safely

Fly it outdoors, in open space, away from people, animals, roads, overhead lines and airports. Keep fingers away from the propellers when the battery is connected. Charge the battery only with the supplied cable, never unattended and never overnight. Follow the manual that comes in the box. Declarations of conformity and the technical documentation are available from us on request.

Our liability

We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. We are not liable for loss that is not foreseeable, or for damage caused by using the product against the instructions or the safety notes above. Nothing here excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property

The text, images, design and code of this site belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.

Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, write to hello@trypaperjet.com first: most things are settled in a couple of emails. We are not obliged to participate, and do not currently participate, in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. This does not affect your right to bring a claim before the competent courts.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
